Henry was the flag-bearer for the Israeli Olympic team at the 1972 Munich Games. He said that before the Games began, he had nightmares of being shot while carrying the Star of David in a German stadium. Later in the Games, 11 Israeli athletes were killed after Palestinean terrorists tried to take the entire Israeli delegation hostage.
At the first Asian Shooting Championships in 1967, Henry won gold and silver medals and was elected Israel's top athlete of the year. At the 1970 Asian Games, Henry won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. From 1965-1982, he held five Israeli records.
