Kristal was a two-time Olympian for the Israeli shooting team in the 1960s, competing in the small-bore rifle (3 positions) event. At the 1960 Rome Games, he scored 532 points in the qualifying round and finished in 51st place. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Kristal competed in the same event and finished in 36th place (out of 53 shooters).
