At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Lev was a defender on the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth. He started and played in two of the three preliminary games as Israel drew with Guatemala (0-0), Mexico (2-2), and France (1-1). Lev did not play in the game against France. The Israeli team finished second in the group to France with 3 points and advanced to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinal, world powerhouse Brazil defeated Israel 4-1, but Lev did not play in the match.
Lev was a member of the Israeli National team in the 1970s.
