At the 1984 Los Angeles Games, Novitz was the sole Israeli to compete in rhythmic gymnastics (combination of dance, gymnastic movements and apparatus handling). In the preliminary round, she scored a 9.20 (hoop), 9.00 (ball), 8.85 (clubs), and 8.40 (ribbon) for a combined total of 35.45. She finished in 27th place and only the top 20 gymnasts advanced to the final.
