Cohen, Herman "Duke"
After playing guard at Northwestern, Cohen remained in Evanston as a colorful traffic cop of Fountain Square in the 1930s. At one point, he was temporarily banished from Fountain Square, following a controversy with an elderly pedestrian who refused to obey traffic instructions..
Birth and Death Dates:
In 1924, playing college ball for Northwestern, Cohen was named All-Western honorable mention by Christy Walsh Syndicate as the Wildcats had a record of 4-4-0. The following year, the team finished the season with a record of 5-3-0.
Cohen played as a guard at Northwestern University from 1924-1925.
