David Freeman

Freeman, a notable player in the early days of professional football, was the older brother of Chuck Freeman, who starred as quarterback of Princeton for one year.

Freeman was a fullback for the Syracuse Athletic Association beginning in 1898, and was a member of the winning Syracuse eleven when pro football's first indoor championship was staged by New York's Madison Square Garden. Paul "Twister" Steinberg and Pop Warner were also members of the team.
