Geoffrey Thomas Blumenfeld

A kicker at the U.S. Naval Academy, Blumenfeld was a three-year varsity player, but had his best season as a senior in 2004. He made 5-12 field goals and 38-42 of extra points as Navy went 9-2 during the regular season, including a 42-13 win over Army. They then played in the Emerald Bowl and defeated New Mexico, 34-19; Blumenfeld connected on all four extra point attempts and made field goals from 27 yards and 22 yards (following a 26 play, 94 yard drive that took 14:26).

Career Highlights:
Born in California, Blumenfeld played football and soccer at Granite Bay High School. As a senior, the football team went 13-0 and he was named first team all-conference (he was also all-conference in soccer three times). Geoff then went to the Naval Academy, where he saw his first football action as a sophomore in 2002, appearing in seven games and going 2-3 on field goals and 14-15 on extra points. In 2003, Blumenfeld was the starter at the beginning of the year, but a hip injury sidelined him mid-way through the season. He finished 3-6 on field goals and 11-12 on extra points.
