Frankel, Julian

An end on the North Carolina football team in the early 1930s, Frankel was a member of ZBT (Zeta Beta Tau), a Jewish fraternity. He also played on the varsity baseball team.

An end, Frankel played three seasons of varsity football at North Carolina. As a sophomore in 1931, the Tar Heels had a record of 4-3-3 (2-3-3 in the Southern Conference, 13th place). The following year, they finished 3-5-2 (2-5-1, 17th place). Then, in Frankel's senior season, the Tar Heels improved to 4-5-0 (2-1-0 and third place in the conference).


Career Dates:
Frankel played end at the University of North Carolina, 1931-33.
