Sorynow, a backup goalkeeper, was a member of the Israeli National soccer team in the 1970s. Between 1973-1977, he appeared in 13 games for Israel.

Josef was a member of the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He did not appear in any matches during the Games. In 1977, he was Israel's starting goalkeeper in the World Cup qualifying stage; the team did not advance to the Finals.
