Career Highlights:
A heavyweight in the late 1920s and early 1930s, Gross fought world light-heavyweight champion Tommy Loughran in a non-title bout in October 1928. Gross lost the bout in a 10-round decision and also lost two future fights on decision with Loughran in 1931. Jack also fought future heavyweight champ Primo Carnera in September 1930 and was knocked out in the second-round. Two years later, the two fought again and Gross was again knocked out, this time in the seventh-round.
