Drawing of Marty Glickman, member of the U.S. Olympic track team at the 1936 Berlin Games. Glickman and fellow Jew Sam Stoller were the only two able-bodied members of the Olympic team not to compete in Berlin; both were removed from the 4x100-meter relay team at the last minute in favor of Ralph Metcalfe and Jesse Owens. Glickman always insisted that anti-Semitism was the reason for their removal.
