Raffel, Bill

William Raffel

Raffel was an end at the University of Pennsylvania, and played in the NFL in 1932 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Raffel's teammates on the Dodgers included fellow rookie (and all-NFL back) Jack Grossman, and linemen Saul Mielziner, and Sammy Stein.

b. August 26, 1907 - d. July 24, 1982

Career Highlights:
Raffel played three seasons at Penn from 1929-1931 and then played in the NFL. In 1932, he played four games for the Brooklyn Dodgers and had one reception for 15 yards. The Dodgers finished sixth in the league with a record of 3-9-0 and were coached by Benny Friedman.

Ashland, Kentucky

Raffel played end at the University of Pennsylvania from 1929-1931. He then played as an end in the NFL with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932.
