A left wing, Rozenthal and his brother returned to the Olympics in 2002 as members of the French ice hockey team at the Salt Lake City Games. In the second game of the qualifying round, Rozenthal scored France's lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Belarus. The loss meant that France did not advance to the final round. In their final preliminary game against Ukraine, Rozenthal was shut out as France lost, 4-2. France's final game of the tournament was against Switzerland in the placement game (13th/14th); the French lost, 7-1, as Maurice scored the team's lone goal and finished the tournament with a team-high five points.

After playing two seasons with Dunkerque, they played with Reims from 1994-1996.

The Rozenthal brothers moved to Amiens prior to the 1996-97 season, where they had their greatest success; Maurice was a three-time MVP of the French League (1999-2001). He registered a career-high 64 points (27 goals, 37 assists) in 1999 and followed that up with 45 points in 2000 and 39 points in 2001. In 2001-02, the brothers joined Bjoerkloeven in Sweden.
