Tripolski was a member of the Israeli shooting team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and competed in two events. In the 50-meter free pistol, he finished 16th in the preliminaries with 558 points and failed to advance to the finals. His second event was the 10-meter air pistol competition, where he finished tied for 39th with 572 points.

Career Highlights:
After emigrating to Israel from Russia in 1990, Tripolski won the silver medal in the pistol division at the 1995 European Championships. The following year, Alex finished tenth in the 50-meter free rifle at the UIT World Cup Finals. At the 2001 World Cup, Tripolski finished in 15th place in the 10-meter air pistol competition with 576 points (the winner had 584).
