Golan was a member of Israel's track and field team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and competed in the 4x100-meter relay. The Israeli team finished sixth in their preliminary heat (39.76), and did not advance to the semifinals; they finished 26th overall.

Career Highlights:
Golan was a member of the Israeli 4x100 meter relay team that finished ninth at the 1999 World Athletics Championships. He finished in first place in the 100-meter at the 1997 Israel Championships with a time of 10.46 that broke the Israeli records. He is currently ranked fourth best all-time for Israeli athletes (Kfir also has the seventh fastest 200-meter time of 24.41). Golan was also a four-time Israeli champion in the 100-meter (1994-1997), and two-time champ in the 200-meter (1994 and 1995).
