Olympic Info:
Gurevitch, a member of the Soviet Olympic team, won the gold medal in the freestyle wrestling middleweight division at the 1968 Mexico City Games. During the tournament, he defeated Jan Wypiorczuk of Poland, and Ronald Grinstein of Great Britain to reach the final round. In the finals, Gurevitch drew with Munkhbat Jigjid of Mongolia and Prodane Gardiev of Bulgaria to capture the gold medal (both Jigjid and Gardiev were eliminated due to an accumulation of bad points).

Boris Michael Gurevitch is not to be confused with the Soviet Greco-Roman wrestler, Boris Mendelovitch Gurevich.

Career Highlights:
Gurevitch is a member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
