Blumberg competed in two Olympiads as a member of the United States figure skating team. At the 1980 Lake Placid Games, Judy and partner Michael Seibert placed seventh in the ice dance competition. They returned to the Olympics four years later at the 1984 Sarajevo Games and placed fourth, just missing a medal in the same event.

Career Highlights:
Blumberg and her partner Michael Seibert were considered one of the world's greatest ice dancing duos in the 1980s. For five straight years (1981-85), they were the U.S. National Ice Dancing champions and they won the bronze medal in ice dancing at the World Figure Skating Championships from 1983-1985. The pair won the World Cup Dance Championship in 1988 and 1989 and the World Professional Dance Championship in 1988.

After retiring, Blumberg did commentary for CBS Sports and was a motivational speaker. She said: "I consider myself lucky to be considered a good role model as a Jew...I believe in the principle of giving back to people." In 1996, Blumberg and Siebert were inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame. They are still considered the best ice dancing pair in American history.
