Olympic Info:
A member of Israel's track and field team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Psavkin was scheduled to race in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. In the 100-meter, he finished in seventh place in his first round heat with a time of 11.1. Psavkin did not advance to the second round, and officially placed 64th out of 72 competitors. He was absent from his 200-meter heat.

Career Highlights:
A track and field coach in Israel, Psavkin works in cooperation with the Jewish Agency to bring Russian Jews to Israel. One such emigre is pole vaulter Alex Averbukh, who won the silver medal at the 2001 World Championships.

Psavkin is currently a member of the European Athletic Association's Development Committee (the EAA is the European Track and Field governing body). He is also on the Veterans Committee of the International Association of Athletics Federation (the world track and field governing body).
