At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Vissoker was the starting goalkeeper of the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth. He played in all three preliminary games as Israel drew with Guatemala (0-0), Mexico (2-2), and France (1-1). The Israeli team finished second in the group to France with 3 points and advanced to the quarterfinals. Vissoker then played in the quarterfinal match against powerhouse Brazil, who defeated Israel, 4-1.

Vissoker was the starting goalkeeper of the Israeli National team in the 1970s, and a key reason for their success during this time. He helped lead the Israelis to the final in the 1968 Asian Championship against Iran; they lost the match 2-1. In 1970, Vissoker helped Israel achieve its greatest success in international compeititon when they reached the World Cup final stage for the only time in the country's history. In the World Cup, Israel faced tough competition in their group, but played well. They lost to Uruguay (2-0), tied Sweden (1-1), and tied Italy (0-0); unfortunately, they did not advance to the next round of the tournament.
