Olympic Info:
An outstanding kayaker, Pfeffer was a three-time Olympian for Hungary in the 1960s and 1970s. At the 1968 Mexico City Games, she competed in two kayaking events and won one medal. In the K1 500-meter, she won her preliminary heat (2:07.1), but did not reach the final and officially finished in ninth place. In the K2 500-meter, Pfeffer (and partner Kiara Rajnai) won their preliminary heat (2:01.0), and then qualified for the final, where they won the silver medal by finishing in second place with a time of 1:58.60.

Pfeffer returned to the Olympics four years later and won another medal at the 1972 Munich Games. In the K1 500-meter competition, after winning her semifinal heat in 2:07.15, Pfeffer finished third in the final (2:05.50) to win the bronze medal. She finished fourth in the K2 500-meter event (1:55.12, only 0.11 seconds behind the bronze medal team).

Pfeffer competed in her final Olympiad at the 1976 Montreal Games, and won her third Olympic medal. With partner, Kiara Rajnai (they were also partners in Munich), Pfeffer finished second in her preliminary heat of the K2 500-meter with a time of 1:54.25. They automatically advanced to the final, where they finished in second place (1:51.69) to capture the silver medal.
