Gloushkov and Inna Yoffe represented Israel in the 2004 synchronized swimming event. Competing in the duet technical routine on August 23, the duo ranked 16th overall. They achieved a 85.500 score which left them 6.667 points behind first place. The Israeli's placed 17th in the preliminary stage on August 24, with a score of 86.0. They were five places away from the twelfth place finish necessary to qualify for the finals.

Gloushkov was the "elderly" stateswoman in the Israeli Olympic synchronized swimming team. At the age of 19, Athens 2004 was her first Olympic Games experience although many experts claim she would have qualified for the 2000 Sydney Games if the criteria had not been set unrealistically high by the Olympic Committee. Gloushkov's mother coaches the Israeli synchronized swimming team.

Career Highlights:
Gloushkov's break out performance was in the 2000 Mediterranean Games held in her hometown of Jerusalem. The then fifteen year old swimmer won both the singles and the duet events with considerable aplomb. In 2001 the youngster competed in the World Youth Championships in Seattle and managed a creditable ninth place finish.

Two years later Anastasia matched up with her current partner Inna Yoffe in the World Championship where they ended up in 15th place. The duo competed in the European Youth Championship in Andorra 2003, and was 6th overall.

In 2004 Yoffe and Gloushkov put in a solid all around performance in the European Championship in Madrid. Anastasia was ranked 9th in the singles event (with 89.6 points in the final reckoning) and 10th in the duet event with her partner. The twosome also helped the Israeli team to the 9th place, Israel's highest ranking ever. Yoffe and Gloushkov looked rather pedestrian in the Athens pre-Olympic competition, ranking 18th overall.
