Nora competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, representing the Argentine weightlifting team. She finished eighth in the under-63 kilogram class with 182.5 kilos total, 80 in the snatch and 102.5 in the clean and jerk.

In Athens 2004 Koppel competed in the under-75 kilograms competition. She lifted 100 in the snatch and 137.5 in the clean and jerk for a total of 237.5 kilograms. Nora's result placed her ninth overall.

Career Highlights:
Koppel has placed well in World Championships tournaments throughout her career, though she has never won a medal. In the 2002 World Championships held in Warsaw, the Argentine lifted 125.0 kilo's in the clean and jerk thus placing 7th in the under-96 kilogram category. Moving up to the under-75 kilogram class in 2003, she competed in the Vancouver World Championships and placed fifth in the clean and jerk with an impressive score of 132.5.
