The son of a Jewish mother and French father, LeMarque was a member of the French Olympic team at the 1994 Winter Olympics. In the preliminaries, France finished sixth in its group, tying the United States 4-4, but losing to Canada (3-1), Sweden (7-1), Italy (7-3), and Slovakia (6-2). France finished in tenth place overall.

In March 2004, LeMarque went through a harrowing ideal in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. While snowboarding, LeMarque found himself lost, his cell phone dead, and no one realizing that he was even lost. For seven days, LeMarque willed himself to live before he was finally found alive. His amazing story was national news and an inspiration to many. He is currently struggling to recover and hopes to walk again in the near future.

Career Highlights:
Born in Paris, but raised in Los Angeles, LeMarque played college hockey at Northern Michigan University for four seasons. Following his freshman season, in which he played 38 games, scored five goals and 12 assists, LeMarque was selected by the Boston Bruins in the 11th round (224 overall) of the 1987 NHL Draft. He played three more seasons with Northern Michigan, scoring a career-high 49 points as a senior in 1989-90. After graduating, LeMarque played for a number of years in Europe and American minor leagues. He never played in the NHL, but played two seasons of Roller Hockey.
