With pairs partner Laszlo Szollas, Emilie skated in two Winter Olympics for Hungary, winning the bronze medal at both the 1932 and 1936 Games.

Career Highlights:
Rotter and Szollas were one of the best ice dancing pairs in the world in the 1930s. They won the gold medal in the pairs competition at the World Figure Skating Championships in 1931, and in 1933-35, and took the silver in 1932. The pair also won the European Figure Skating Championship in 1934, and captured the silver medal in 1930 and 1931. Both Rotter and Szollas are members of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
