Olympic Info:
A member of Israel's track and field team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, Shezifi competed in two events. In the 400-meter race, she finished seventh in her preliminary heat (56.3) and did not advance to the next round. Shezifi then ran in the 800-meter and again failed to advance past the first round after finishing sixth in her heat in 2:09.2.

Career Highlights:
Israel's Athlete of the Year in 1970, Shezifi won three gold medals and one bronze in the Asian Games that year. She is still in fourth place all-time in Israeli history in the 800-meter with a time of 2:06.5 (set at the 1970 Asian Games), and ninth place in the 3,000-meter with a time of 9:55.2. Since 1996, Shezifi has been chairperson of the Israeli Bridge Federation, and responsible for bridge instruction in Israeli schools.
