Marvin Joseph Rotblatt

Rotblatt, a southpaw, went 4-3 pitching in 35 games for his hometown Chicago White Sox in 1948 and 1950-51. Before playing in the majors, Marv pitched at the University of Illinois, where he is still tied for second in school history in wins (25), and is third in winning percentage (.862). Rotty led his college team to the 1947-48 Big Nine championship. After his professional baseball career ended, Rotblatt went into insurance.

In 1951, Marv went 4-2 for the White Sox, with a solid ERA of 3.40. He also had 2 saves. In the minor leagues, he set a Southern Association record with 202 strikeouts in a season, and he pitched a no-hitter as well.
