Nicknamed "Old Folks," Brower made his major league debut at the advanced age of 30. He played in 21 games for the Detroit Tigers during the 1931 season.

Career Highlights:
Brower, a shortstop, hit .161, with six RBI and eight walks in 62 at-bats, during his 21 games with the Tigers in 1931. After he retired from professional baseball, he became a manager in the minor leagues and worked with several AAA teams. He also worked with Lawton's Baseball School, which taught the game's finer points to young players.
