Career Highlights:
Born Reuben Cohen in Russia, Ewing and his family settled in Hartford, Connecticut after emigrating to the United States. In 1920, he began studying at the Lebanon Valley College. The following year, under the name Reuben Ewing, he played in three games for the St. Louis Cardinals. Reuben pinch-hit once -- he struck out in his only major league at-bat -- was a defensive replacement in one game, and was a pinch-runner in his final major league game.
