Henry A. Lefkowitz

Lefkowitz was a member of the Case Western Reserve Athletic Hall of Fame (he graduated from Western Reserve College). Hank played in the first season of the NBA (1946-47) with the Cleveland Rebels.

Career Highlights:
While playing at Western Reserve College, Lefkowitz was named first team All-Mid America Conference in 1946 and led his team to a 11-3 record. That year, he broke the school record of points-in-one-season with 292.

After graduating from Western Reserve, Hank joined the Cleveland Rebels of the newly-formed NBA (then called the Basketball Association of America). During the 1946-47 NBA season, Lefkowitz played in 24 games for Cleveland (30-30), and scored 51 points. In the playoffs, the Rebels lost in the quartefinals to the New York Knicks, 2-1. Hank played in all 3 games and scored 9 points in the series. It was his only season in the NBA.
