Laub played at Columbia University in the 1920s and was named All-America in 1925.

Career Highlights:
Laub was an excellent scorer for Columbia in the mid-1920s. In 1925, he was eighth in scoring with 4.4 points per game and the Lions finished 10-7 (6-4 in conference). The following year, he was even better and was named first team All-Ivy League, and Helms All-America. Laub scored 9.2 points per game, second in the conference, and led Columbia to a 16-2 record and the Ivy League title (9-1 in conference). That year, Columbia was rated as one of the top ten teams in the country (there were no official polls until the late 1940s).
