Katz, Gilad

Katz played for the University of Connecticut from 1990-1992, then returned to Israel and played for Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Maccabi Jerusalem, and Maccabi Tel-Aviv. In 1996-97, Gilad was the back-up point guard for German champion Bayer Leverkusen, making him the first Israeli to play professionally outside of Israel. He is currently playing for Hapoel Tel-Aviv.

Career Highlights:
Katz played two seasons at UConn, much of it injury-plagued. After playing in 21 games in 1990-91, he appeared in only 4 games the following season. He averaged 2.6 points, 0.9 assists, and 0.6 rebounds per game while at Connecticut.
