Career Highlights:
Cohen began his career at Penn in 1968 as a sophomore when the Quakers struggled and finished in last place in the Ivy League with a record of 4-10 (7-14 overall). The following year, Cohen was tabbed as a starter, but a knee injury sidelined him. Penn was a vastly improved team, however, finishing in third place in the conference with a 10-4 record (15-10 overall).

As a senior in 1970, Cohen was named the team's Most Improved Player, and Penn finished undefeated in the conference (14-0) to capture the Ivy League title. Ranked No. 13 in the country, the Quakers finished the regular season 25-2 and as conference champs, received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. In the first round, they played Niagara, but lost the match, 79-69. Two of Cohen's teammates on the 1970 squad were sophomore guard Alan Cotler and junior guard Steve Bilsky.
