Max Kaplan

Kaplan played basketball at City College of New York from 1909-1912. The pioneering CCNY teams on which Max appeared were among the best of their era.

Career Highlights:
Kaplan played at CCNY in the early 1910s in the first years of the school's basketball program. After a good 1910 season in which the Beavers finished 6-4, they were one of the top teams in the country the following year. City finished 1911 with a 7-2 record, outscoring their opponents 204-144. In 1912, City was even better, finishing 9-2 and outscoring their opponents 331-210. In the season's final game, they put an exclamation point on their dominance, demolishing Delaware by the incredible score of 56-8!
