Career Highlights:
A light-heavyweight and heavyweight during his career, Brower turned professional in 1961 while fighting out of New England. Winning all three of his fights that year by first-round knockouts, Brower then knocked out his first two opponents in 1962 before Dick Richardson in July. In a slight upset, he defeated Richardson in a four-round decision. After beating Richardson, Brower continued his winning ways in 1962 and 1963, winning ten of his next eleven bouts (his only loss was to Wendell Newton in August 1963), including five knockouts.

Inactive in 1964, Brower returned to the ring in January 1965 and won an eight-round decision over Clay Thomas in Worcester, Massachusetts. Brower's next fight was against former contender Tom McNeeley (who had lost a title fight to Floyd Patterson in 1961) in February 1965; Brower was knocked out in the tenth round. Brower rebounded from the defeat and knocked out his next three opponents in the first round before fighting Mose Harrell and Charley Polite to eight-round draws in 1967. In October of that year, Arnie travelled to France and fought Julien Jullier, but lost a 10-round hometown decision in Paris.

Brower returned to the United States and did not fight again until 1969, when he won decisions over Billy Marsh and Billy Muse. In September 1969, he then went to Detroit and was knocked out in the first round by Billy Tiger. Remaining in the Motor City, Brower knocked out Jimmy Jones in the first round and Eddie Dembry in the second round in January 1970 before fighting Jerry Evans in Miami in March. In what many considered the fight of the year, Brower and Evans went the distance, but Brower lost the ten-round decision. He continued to fight until the mid-1970s, but never received a title shot.
