Career Highlights:
Nicknamed the "Gypsy," Rimovsky (his father was Jewish) was an Argentinean light-heavyweight in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In June 1970, he faced American Bob Benoit in Madison Square Garden in New York and was knocked out in the fifth-round. The following year, Pedro returned to Argentina and fought future Argentinean and WBA world champion Victor Galindez twice. The first bout, in April, ended in a no-contest while the rematch two months later was a 10-round draw. Rimovsky then battled future Spanish heavyweight champion Avenemar Peralta and lost on a ninth-round TKO. Pedro retired in 1974.
