b. May 18, 1982

Career Highlights:
Greenberg turned professional in November 2001 and has won all 16 of his pro fights. In his debut, Roman defeated Dave Clarke in London on a five-round technical knockout. Then in February 2002, he whipped veteran journeyman Paul Bonson in a six-round decision. In December 2002, Greenberg beat Scottish heavyweight Derrick McCaffery in a unanimous six-round decision. Greenberg's trainer Jim Evans said, "He looked absolutely fantastic and I had people from the newspapers and other trainers telling me theyve never seen anything like him in the heavyweight division. They couldnt believe it -- Roman bashed him up and the only reason he didnt knock McCafferty out was I told him we wanted the rounds...it just took your breath away; for a 20 year-old kid hes just incredible.

On January 24, 2003, Greenberg knocked out Poitr Jurczyk in the first round. Following the bout, he said, "People seem to like the way I fight and say that I'm good, which is very nice of them. I have a lot to learn and a lot of hard work in front of me, though...I don't pay attention to people who say I can be undisputed heavyweight champion; I thank them for their support, but I know what I have to do to get there. I have (talent) but I also have to do my job (in training) as well."
