Career Highlights:
A middleweight from the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, Goldberg began boxing professionally in the mid-1920s. In March 1928, he fought Rene DeVos, the European middleweight champion, in the main event at the Broadway Arena. At 1:30 of the first-round, DeVos unleashed a low blow at Goldberg and was disqualified from the bout. Three months later, Goldberg and DeVos fought again with the European defeating Henry in a ten-round decision.
