Career Highlights:
Davis, who began his career in the late 1900s, fought future world featherweight champion Jack Kilbane in August 1909. The bout, which took place in Pittsburgh, ended in a six-round no decision. Davis then fought for the next couple of years in the Philadelphia area and in October 1912, he fought tough featherweight Eddy Moy in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The bout ended in a no decision, but Moy won the newspaper decision.

In October 1913, Davis fought top contender "K.O." Chaney in Chaney's hometown of Baltimore. The bout went the full 15 rounds, but Davis lost the decision. Happy then fought future world lightweight champion Mike McTigue in August 1914 and was knocked out in the third-round.
