Career Highlights:

Ulman was a 10-time Champion of Western Germany: 1954-85. He participated in many international tournaments.

Yakov played on the West German team in the 1964 Olympics. He came first on board number one, scoring 15 points out of 18. In the 1966 Olympics he came third, with a score of 13 out of 18.
