Bienstock, Bernard

Bienstock played as a back for CCNY (City College of New York) in the late 1920s, and was considered one of the nation's leading passers.

Career Highlights:
In 1929, Bienstock was captain of the CCNY football team. Football historian Dr. L.H. Baker wrote, "Bienstock was an unusual type as he was a fine passer and a fine receiver. In five touchdown passes, he hit the receiver in the end zone four times. As a receiver, he scored touchdowns on runs of 15, 20, 40, and 70-yards after receiving the ball." That season, Bienstock scored four touchdowns and kicked two extra points for a total of 26 points for City College.
