In 1921, Fishman played in five NFL games for Evansville. Based on incomplete records, Alec scored a touchdown on the only carry during his NFL career, a five-yard run. Evansville had a league record of 3-2, but played most of their games against non-league opponents. In 1922, the team folded three games into the season, following a 60-0 loss to the Rock Island Independents.
