Joseph Schein

Schein played for Brown University in the late 1920s, and played one season in the NFL.

Birth and Death Dates:
b. November 11, 1910 - d. May 27, 1969

Career Highlights:
In 1928, Brown shut out four teams and outscored their opponents by a combined score of 167-72. They only lost one game that year -- 32-14 to Yale -- to end the season with a record of 8-1-0. The following year, Brown only had a record of 5-5-0.
In 1930, they started the season strong, winning six of their first eight games before losing to New Hampshire and Colgate in the final two games of the season to finish 6-3-1.
After graduating in 1931, Schein appeared in all 11 regular season games for the Providence Steam Roller, who had a record of 4-4-3 (sixth in the NFL). It was his only year in the NFL.

Schein played as a lineman at Brown University from 1928-1930. He then played in the NFL as a tackle with the Providence Steam Roller in 1931.
