Ashe, Harold

Harold D. Ashkenazy

Ashe played for Bowdoin and was one of the tiny Maine college's best players in the mid-1930s. During his three seasons with the Polar Bears, Bowdoin won the Maine State title by defeating Bates College, Colby College, and the University of Maine. Before 1965, the four schools all played each other and the team with the best record was awarded the title. With Ashe leading the way, Bowdoin went undefeated all three years of his career.
