Martin Feldman

Feldman was a guard at Stanford University, then became a coach in both the college and pro ranks. In the early 1960s, he coached the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League.

Career Highlights:
Feldman played two seasons as a guard for Stanford before segueing into coaching, helming the school's freshman squad in 1948. He continued to coach at Stanford until 1955, when he joined the coaching staff at New Mexico. In 1961, Marty got his chance in the pro ranks when the head coach of the Oakland Raiders of the newly-formed AFL was fired two games into the season. Feldman held the position for a little more than a year and was fired after the fifth game of the 1962 season. He had a combined record of 2-13. The Raiders would not have a coach with a winning record until Al Davis took over in 1963.
