Portney, Alvin
Portney was an offensive lineman at the University of Missouri in the 1950s, and a two-time first team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection.

Career Highlights: Portney played on the offensive line for Missouri in the mid-1950s. In 1953, Alvin's first year on the team, the Tigers had a record of 6-4- (4-2-0 in conference). Over the next two seasons, the Tigers struggled to a 5-14-1 combined record. Portney was a strong presence on the line and was named AP All-American honorable mention, and AP All-Missouri Valley Conference first team in 1954 and 1955.
