Zarakov, Izzy

Isadore Zarakov

A member of the Jewish fraternity ZBT (Zeta Beta Tau) while at Harvard University in the 1920s, Zarakov was a three-sport star (football, hockey, and baseball) and member of the Harvard Varsity Club Hall of Fame (inducted in 1968). In 1929, he was named honorable mention All-ZBT by the fraternity's official publication.

Career Highlights:
After attending prep school in New England, Zarakov went to Harvard University and played three sports, lettering eight times during his collegiate career. As a member of the football team, he played as a reserve in 1924 and 1925 and then joined the starting line-up as a senior in 1926 (alongside Al 'Truck' Miller. Coached by Harvard legend Arnold Horween, the Crimson finished the season with a record of 3-5-0.
