He had a career AHL record of 85-57-18 with a 3.21 goals against average, and was an AHL All-Star in 1991 and 1992. Littman played at Boston College and had a record of 49-30-7 with a 3.59 GAA. He was named NCAA East second team All-America, and a Hockey East first team All-Star.

Littman played goalie at Boston College from 1986-1989. He played professionally in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres from 1990-1992, and for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1992-93.
