Career Highlights:
Buth, whose mother is Jewish, attended the University of Florida, where she was a four-time All-America, won the NCAA Doubles Championship in 1996 and 1997, and was runner-up in 1998. After her graduation from Florida in 1998, Dawn turned pro. She has competed in all four Grand Slam events as a doubles player and in all but the Australian Open as a singles player.

In 1996 and 1997, Dawn lost in the first round of the doubles competition at the U.S. Open. After a three-year absence, she returned to Grand Slam competition in 2000, losing in the first round in doubles at Wimbledon, but reaching the second round in singles at the U.S. Open. In 2001, Buth lost in the first round of the Australian Open doubles, and in the singles and doubles events at the French Open.
