Born in Chicago, Levine won the U.S. Western junior singles championship in 1947 and 1948. Levine was ranked No. 11 in the U.S. in singles in 1953. The following year, she won both the singles and doubles U.S. indoor championships. In 1957, Levine again won both women's titles.
