Ben-Tovim, Ehud

One of Israel's greatest scorers, Ben-Tovim was a member of the National Team in the 1970s and played in two international games in 1978. Ehud was so popular among fans of his B'nei Yehuda team, that when he wanted to leave for a rival club, riots broke out in the streets. Tires were burned windows were smashed, and Ben-Tovim remained in Tel Aviv.

Career Highlights:
Ben-Tovim was a member of the Israeli soccer team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, but did not appear in any of the matches. Israel reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth overall. Ehud also a played in the Israeli National League, registering 92 goals in 350 career league games. In 1978, he played in the NASL (North American Soccer League) for the Oakland Stompers. That same year, he registered his only two international caps (appearances) for the Israeli National Team.
